Located atop of a small hill just above Praia do Sul and 2 minutes walk from the center, the CHILL IN ERICEIRA Surfhouse has one of the best views of Ericeira and from the window of your room you can see 4 surf spots, Foz do Lizandro, Pico do Futuro, Praia do Sul and Praia do Algodio, as well as the most western point of Europe, Cabo da Roca.

Ericeira is also known for its warm and welcoming people that love to receive surfers and travellers all year. You’ll fall in love for the fresh fish brought in every morning by the fishermen, the natural beauty of the surroundings and the magic of Ericeira night life.

There are seven world-class waves within 4 Km: Pedra Branca, Reef, Ribeira d'Ilhas, Cave, Crazy Left, Coxos and S. Lourenço. Along 11Km of coastline, you’ll find 22 very consistent surf spots with different characteristics, perfect for surfers of all levels, from beginner to professional.

Daniela Machado: A real Ericeira local! She used to frequent the beautiful beaches of Ericeira even before it became a worldwide known surf spot, but don’t worry she will not be the usual grumpy local that catches all the waves as she doesn’t surf. She’s just a real fanatic of watching good surf and one of the most respected persons in the surfing scene of Ericeira. She will take care of all aspects about the accommodation in the CHILL IN ERICEIRA Surfhouse and make your staying the most comfortable and fun as possible….she will also introduce you to the Ericeira night life, expect some big nights out!

Joana Rocha: National Surfing champion and long time local of Ericeira, Joana is the greatest ambassador of Portuguese surfing.
She become the first professional surfer in Portugal and traveled all over the world to surf the best waves and compete at international top level for more than 10 years.
Joana’s favorite place to live and surf is Ericeira for the variety of spots and the perfection of the waves.
She will surf with you in the best spots and give you some really valuable advises!

Edoardo Cavarretta: An Italian business student that fell in love with this magic place called Ericeira and found the opportunity to move here by getting involved in the CHILL IN ERICEIRA Surfhouse project.
With several years of experience in teaching and surfing in Ericeira’s spots, Edoardo will be in charge of booking your surf lessons and all the aspects related to the surf school. As an ISA (International Surfing Association) certified surf instructor he will teach you the basics of surfing, and much more.
