Casa da Pousada in Barcelos Portugal, is an outcome of the Araújo family vision, a northern Portuguese family, known for enjoying sharing their experiences, customs and traditions, after all, it’s a region of hospitable and friendly people.

Reborn from the ruins 30 years ago, the house is the result of the passion for history and conservation of the values of Minho region.

Was transformed in 2015 in a rural tourism space, with comfort of modern times, keeping however all the traditional characteristics. A special place where every stone tells a story and each tree has a secret.

Casa da Pousada has three rustic apartments with single and double rooms, all inserted in a rural landscape. All the apartments have private bathroom, flat screen TV, kitchenette and dining area. The great breakfast balcony, common area to all the apartments, invites to a perfect start day, with panoramic views over the village.

Upon arrival, and after a visit to the house surroundings, the guests are greeted with a welcome drink and traditional pastries in the room of the old furnaces, the reception of the house.

In addition to all the amenities of the apartments, guests can also make use of outer space, where they can find a heated pool and a barbecue area with wood oven. In the gardens, the pleasant tables in stone promise to be the perfect retreat of summer afternoons, along with a little playground. There is also free wireless network throughout the property.

Outside the property, guests can enjoy some activities like hiking and cycling. In the city of Barcelos and other surrounding cities, Casa da Pousada and their partners, can arrange some activities like gastronomy and wine tasting, workshops, guided tours, therapy/fitness, among other activities.

The center of Barcelos is 6 km away from the property and Porto Airport is 40 minutes. All major cities to visit in the North of Portugal are less than 45 minutes from the property.
