Born out of the dream of turning dust into gold. Like a true alchemist. Like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly.

ALKIMISTA Stands for a modern interpretation of the ancient foundation of alchemy, taking local seasonal produce, into a sensational creation of food and drink.

Dining or sipping in an intimate welcoming townhouse,
in the unique historical UNESCO protected city of Guimarães, Portugal.

The restaurant dining is spread through the whole townhouse and with two cocktail bars and with a secret garden (both for dining and drinking)

The cuisine with roots in the very Portuguese, in a modern version and with an international blend. Always fresh seasonal produce and as local as possible. All menus can be found under 'Menu'.

The cocktails are a bridge between the very classic, transformed into new version by Alkimista with local fruits and berries of the season.
