idD is the Portuguese Platform for Defence Industries. Its mission is to take the necessary steps to promote the international expansion of national companies linked to ASD sector (Aeronautics, security and defense), thus contributing to the development of National Economy.
Its goals are to Identify business opportunities for national companies, including the DTIB in strategic markets;

To Streamline, prepare and support visits and missions abroad, related to the defense of Economics;

To Internally publicize the opportunities identified abroad, paving the way for increased exports of Portuguese industry;

To support the definition and the development of national companies' internationalization strategies, including the DTIB;

Create an acting network through exchanges between large and small companies, stimulating joint projects considering to do so, military attachés and the Portuguese diaspora, thus seeking to maximize existing resources.

To promote contacts and partnerships with organizations, agencies and other entities of public interest, national and international.
